a collection of Artists, there one connection being me BruceofBruce. we put up our work and talk about it.
How'd you pick the palette? Was this natural light, or did you crank it up a bit (or colorize?)?
In the original shot, the house and tree were monochromatic gray-browns. It felt flat.Turning it black and white drained the sense of the antique from the old plaster house. So I tried sepia instead. No good?
Excellent composition and crazy light opportunity in this shot. A hard shadow that bleeds off to a soft bottom edge. Very cool. The sepia works for me, though I think the effect could roll off a tiny bit and bring the mood up.
