clay vase

So I am working on non traditional vase shapes. I have been working so much on a particular series that I'm really bored of tall textured cylinders.

This one reminds me a bit of a beech nut.
My photo area is not set up right now, moving around my studio. Did my best with natural light.

Terracotta, multiple glazing.

he's Black Irish.....maybe...

any way got tons of these sort of shots... but I like this one.....it's a test... but he looks good.

Family Portraits - Swapped Faces

Worked this as a poke to one of my friends recently and actually found it pretty bizarre and interesting to behold. Thinking of doing some more for folks to make a small collection. Click and view it large for better effect.

Thoughts? Nightmares? Hehehe

the inbetween time

I like to be early for shoots.
that way I only feel rushed when I am.
plus the client likes to walk in and see you ready to go, put's them at ease a bit, same with whom ever it is will be in front of the lens.

so when given a chance I will snap a shot here or there while I'm waiting for the action to start.

I took this shot waiting to do some Portraits of Board Members of a Large Charity in town.
I was set up inside this hotel where they were having a meeting, looked out the window and saw this image.... the light changed before I got there... for the better I think... then it was gone, Fleeting light is....in 10 mins this court yard was Shadow.. all the light you see is reflected off the buildings around it, 2 white ones, 1 with a Mirror finish.

I must remember to go back and shoot some people there.

I'm really getting into abstractions via the macro lens lately. I just got this printed at 20x30 and it is incredible.

my head hurts...

seriously.. this was an email... that followed several other..... just as confusing emails... and a phone call.... and that failed to shed any light on this"project" as well...

Bruce -
A few more ideas for you, if you're still thinking about this, looking please on our behalf. I urged you to consider people photos, and other idea that surfaced today.
could be to have photos of things that are very common place or ordinary. It might even be an object…such as a stapler. The idea again with this type is that it might be hard to come up with questions about the photo.
Looking forward to hearing from what you're finding! Thanks.

English is this persons primary language...

well on to the ART....

if that's what you want to call it....

Into the sun

Into the sun

Trying to capture the feel of staring into the setting summer sun...kind of hard with a camera, actually. That and the weird emptiness of Harvard Square in the summer.

Beer at the Burren

This was taken in nearly no light pointing the hotshoe flash off the back wall for a soft look. I think the only thing missing is some smoldering cigarettes.

A few nature photos...
