Maybe just a tiny bit of breathing room on the sides, but otherwise solid as far as I'm concerned. Nice mood captured here. Is this a new shot?
Now that I'm looking a bit longer and squinting and such, I wonder if the fog could be moved a bit further off center to get the composition moving just a little bit.
The swirls in the tops of the chairs play really well with the fog - perhaps this could have been exploited a bit more?
the rust/decay imperfections on the chairs the position of them, the slightly off horizon.
now this might sound weird, but with fog pictures I really like to see some contrast... for is not really contrasty I know..... but there's a delicate balance and when it is achieved....it's magic. it's close.almost there. or my screen is off.........
The bottom of the frame I think is the issue for me. It feels off kilter but if I could see the feet of the front chair (or at least where they're lost in the grass) that would give the viewer a place to stand.

Nice! decaying metal + ethereal horizon = good
ReplyDeleteIt needs a frame.
ReplyDeleteIt is very tight on the subject, so it needs something to anchor it to the world, otherwise it feels out of place or squeezed in.
i don't think it needs anything.
